Trump claims progress in Iran war, Tehran denies talks and signals stance

Washington: Donald Trump has claimed that the United States has won the war against Iran. He asserted that Iran's navy and air force have been completely destroyed. President Trump made these remarks during the swearing-in ceremony of the Secretary of Homeland Security. During the event, Trump also referenced ongoing negotiations, claiming that Iran is eager to reach a deal. He added that anyone in their position would want to do the same. Furthermore, he claimed that Iran had sent a "very big gift," which he has now received.

Iran's Navy and Air Force Destroyed: Trump

Trump stated that their navy is gone, their air force is gone, and their communication capabilities have been wiped out. "Everything they had is virtually gone." Trump also asserted that the U.S. is in the strongest possible bargaining position. "Iran possesses neither a navy, nor an air force, nor any missile defense capabilities."

"We have won this war. In fact, our aircraft are flying right over Tehran and other parts of their country. They can do absolutely nothing about it. For instance, if I wanted to take out a power plant, they would be powerless to stop it. They have been completely defeated. Militarily, they are finished."

Claim of Receiving a 'Big Gift' from Iran

When asked why he was engaging in negotiations with Iran, Trump replied that Iran had sent him a significant gift. Trump stated, "They gave us a gift, and we received it today. It was a very big gift—one of immense value." Trump added that this signified one thing: that they are dealing with the right people. Not About Nuclear Issues:

    Iran's Gift

When asked whether this "gift" pertained to Iran's nuclear program, Trump replied, "It is not about nuclear issues. It is related to oil and gas." Trump further stated that Iran's leadership has come to an end. The era of Khamenei—their previous Supreme Leader—is over. Subsequently, the new Supreme Leader who took office also suffered a severe blow. Trump noted that he is now dealing with the individuals who have recently emerged within the leadership. The gift they presented to us was of great significance; it was linked to the flow of oil—specifically, the Strait.

Trump also asserted that Iran would not possess any nuclear weapons, claiming that Iran has agreed to this condition. "We can maintain control over whatever we choose. They are not permitted to possess certain specific assets." This begins with the fundamental stipulation that they must not possess any nuclear weapons—a condition to which they have agreed.
