Trump Cuts Aid, Zelensky Softens Stance! Offers Peace Talks with Putin on One Condition

Washington/Kyiv: After facing heavy humiliation in the White House, US President Donald Trump has ordered a complete halt to aid for Ukraine. Following this decision, Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky made several attempts to reverse it but now believes that Ukraine cannot proceed without America.

Just hours after Trump's announcement, Zelensky stated:

👉 "I am ready for permanent peace under the leadership of America and Donald Trump."

However, he has also placed a condition on Russian President Vladimir Putin.

Zelensky’s Call for Peace

Zelensky reiterated Ukraine's commitment to peace, saying:

🔹 "None of us wants an endless war. Ukraine is ready to come to the negotiating table as soon as possible to bring lasting peace. No one wants peace more than the people of Ukraine."

🔹 "My team and I are ready to work under the strong leadership of President Trump to achieve lasting peace."

Zelensky’s Conditions for Russia

The Ukrainian President outlined specific conditions before any peace talks:

✅ Prisoners should be released immediately.

✅ Missile attacks, long-range drone strikes, and bombings on energy stations must stop.

✅ There should be an immediate ceasefire at sea.

He further added, "If Russia agrees to these terms, we are fully prepared for further negotiations and want to work with America on a strong final agreement."

Zelensky Thanks the US, Hints at Future Agreements

Zelensky acknowledged America's past support, saying:

🔹 "We truly appreciate how much the US has helped Ukraine maintain its sovereignty and independence."

🔹 "We remember the moment when President Trump changed things by providing Javelins to Ukraine. We are grateful for that."

Referring to the tense meeting at the White House, he said:

👉 "Our meeting in Washington on Friday did not go the way it should have. It is a pity that it happened this way. Now it is time to fix everything."

🔹 Zelensky emphasized that Ukraine remains open to future cooperation and constructive dialogue.

🔹 Regarding agreements on minerals and security, he said Ukraine is ready to sign at any time, in any format.

🔹 "We see this agreement as a step towards greater security and solid security guarantees, and I truly hope it will work effectively."
