Trump Eyes Greenland, Denmark Counters with ₹86 Lakh Crore Bid for California

Copenhagen. US President Donald Trump has sparked a new controversy by making a statement about buying Greenland from Denmark. Now, the people of Denmark have offered Rs 86 lakh crore to buy America's largest state, California. After Donald Trump's plan to buy Greenland and make it a part of America, Danish campaigners have placed a bid on social media to buy the state of California. The 'Denmarkification' campaign launched for this aims to raise a crowdfund of 1 trillion dollars to buy the American state and make it a part of the Danish Empire.

The campaign says that after acquiring California, Denmark will allegedly uphold Danish values in the state. The famous Disneyland will be renamed 'Hans Christen Andersenland' while making the most of its sunny weather and resources. The satirical campaign, which has garnered more than 200,000 signatures so far, does not directly mention Trump's threats. But it uses language similar to the US president and offers to 'make California great aga.''.

    Trump has criticized California.

The campaign's website reads, 'Have you ever looked at a map and thought. Do you know what Denmark needs? More sunshine, palm trees, sand roller skates. Well, we have a once-in-a-lifetime chance to make that dream a reality. Let's buy California from Donald Trump!' People on social media also argue that 'Trump himself might welcome the bid.' People claim that Trump 'isn't exactly California's biggest fan. He has called it the most ruined state in the union and has feuded with its leaders for years. We're pretty sure he'd be willing to sell it for a fair price.'

    People joked

People joked that Denmark would sweeten the deal for the US President by offering him a lifetime supply of Danish pastries, paid for by 'Hollywood.' Taking another dig at Trump, it said that the 'will of the citizens' has never stopped the President from making trade deals and said that if Denmark ran California, he would 'protect the free world.'.
