US Defends Handcuffing Indian Student, Calls It Lawful Deportation

The embassy has tried to tell that the Indian student had gone to America illegally, so he was returned.

The US Embassy in India has said on its X account that the US always welcomes passengers who come legally. But we cannot and will not tolerate illegal entry, misuse of visa or violation of US law. The embassy said that there is no right to travel to America.

Indian Consulate took cognizance
