Washington: America's veteran businessman and owner of companies like Tesla-SpaceX, Elon Musk is in the news these days for a different news. It is being claimed that he had offered Rs 1.28 billion (US $15 million) to a social media influencer. Elon Musk had given this offer to that woman to hide a secret. Apart from this, he had also promised that he would also pay Rs 85.38 crore every month to that woman.
Ashley St. Clair was offered money
According to a report, Elon Musk offered influencer Ashley St. Clair US$15 million and a monthly payment of US$100,000 to keep the news of their newborn child a secret. According to the Wall Street Journal, DNA testing has confirmed that the Tesla owner (Elon Musk) has a "99.9999 percent probability of paternity". The report also revealed that Musk's son with St. Clair is named Romulus, but his last name is not on the birth certificate.
What Musk said to the influencer
Musk has not commented directly on the reports about his newborn son, but he has shared a post on social media expressing his displeasure at the Wall Street Journal writing "TMZ >> WSJ". Musk reportedly said in text messages sent to St Clair that he was "second to Trump", explaining that this was why he felt it was too dangerous to make the baby news public. He added that "only the insane survive".
Musk had offered $15 million
According to the report, St Clair rejected the offer of a US$15 million package, saying it would make her son feel "illegitimate". The 26-year-old female influencer also said that the agreement did not provide a trust fund for the child in case Musk became ill or died. St Clair first announced on social media in February that she had given birth to tech billionaire Elon Musk's son.
The influencer had revealed that she was the mother of Musk's child
"Five months ago, I welcomed a new baby into the world. Elon Musk is the father," Claire wrote. He further wrote, "I have not disclosed this before to protect the privacy and safety of my child, but in recent days it has become clear that the tabloid media intends to do so, regardless of how much damage it may cause."
Elon Musk furious after the revelation
According to the Wall Street Journal report, after the announcement, Musk canceled his original US$15 million offer to St. Clair and reduced the monthly payment of US$100,000 to US$40,000 and then later to US$20,000. Musk admitted to making the payment to St. Clair, but raised the question of whether the child was really his.
What did Musk write on social media?
He wrote on social media, "I don't know if the child is mine or not, but I am not against finding out." "No court order needed. Despite not knowing for sure, I've given Ashley $2.5M and am sending her $500k/year." In February, the SpaceX CEO faced another baby announcement when technology executive Shivon Zilis shared that she had given birth to her fourth child with Musk, bringing his total to 14 children.
