Anupam Mittal Predicts UPI’s Rise—Will Visa & Mastercard Be Left Behind

The world is praising India's UPI payment system. It is being adopted in many countries. There was a time when people used cards for payment in India, but the times changed rapidly. UPI allowed people to make small and big payments quickly without any interruption. Now Shark Tank India's judge Anupam Mittal has said something big about UPI. He says that UPI is a good way to make payments in India without any hassle and at a low cost. Anupam did not stop at this. He said that the time has come to challenge companies like Visa and Mastercard. Remember that these companies charge up to 5 percent on payments, while people do not have to pay extra money for UPI payments.

    Tagged NPCI on social media

Anupam turned to social media platform X to say his point. He said that UPI has made payments in India very easy. Anupam asked NPCI, what are we waiting for? He posted, UPI has enabled transactions in India at a global level and without any interruption, which does not cost anything. Now the time has come to disrupt companies like Visa and Master as well as banks, which take 2-5 percent on payments. India-Tech is ready for the world. What are we waiting for @NPCI_NPCI?

UPI payments are being made in Singapore and France

India's UPI is gradually becoming global. UPI payment has started in countries like Singapore, France and even Sri Lanka. In Singapore, there are preparations for large scale UPI payment. UPI first came to India in 2016. After that, the path of digital transactions in the country progressed in such a way that today everyone is adopting UPI payment.

    Preparations to stop 'Collect Payments'

According to another news, the 'Collect Payments' feature will be gradually removed from UPI. This facility will be given only to some big traders and verified traders. According to reports, collect payment is also called pull transaction. Under this feature, the person receiving the money can request another person to send money. After that the sender of the money approves that transaction from the UPI app. For example, when you order any goods online and make UPI payment, that payment is made under the 'Collect Payments' feature. You have to go to your UPI app and approve the payment. NPCI's move is also expected to help prevent fraud.
