Bengaluru Woman Offered Money to Rent Her LinkedIn Account

In a shocking incident, a woman was offered money to rent out her LinkedIn account. The incident has gone viral on social media, sparking a discussion on online security and privacy.

    Details of the incident:

Nikita Anil, a senior brand marketing manager from Bengaluru, said in her post that a man contacted her and offered to rent out her LinkedIn profile. In return, he was ready to pay her $20 (about Rs 1,740) every week. However, he also laid down some conditions, such as no changes would be made to the security information of the account and there would be no change in the basic data. Apart from this, he also asked Nikita for the account ID and password. Nikita did not believe him and refused to give the account.

    Precautions:

This incident has highlighted the importance of online security. Experts say that no person or organization should share information of their social media accounts, as this may put the security of personal data at risk.

    Conclusion:

This case reminds us that it is necessary to prioritize our privacy and security on online platforms. We should avoid any suspicious activity or offer and keep our information safe.
