Big Relief for Electricity Consumers: Scheme Deadline Extended Till February 28!

The One Time Settlement Scheme (OTS) of the Electricity Department has been extended once again to 28 February. The previous deadline was 15 February, but now consumers can pay dues until 28 February and still avail the same benefits as in the third phase. Power Corporation Director (Commerce) Nidhi Kumar Narang issued orders regarding this extension.

    Background of the Scheme

On 30 November 2024, Energy Minister AK Sharma announced the OTS scheme, initially scheduled to run in three phases until 31 January 2025. It was later extended till 15 February and now, once again, till 28 February. The scheme offers waivers on surcharges for outstanding electricity bills until 30 September 2024.

    Key Benefits for Consumers

✔ Lump Sum & Installment Payment Options

✔ Surcharge Waivers Based on Bill Amount & Load

    • 70% waiver for bills under ₹5,000 (1kW load).
    • 60% waiver for bills above ₹5,000.
    • 50% waiver for 2kW+ load & 40% discount on installment payments.

    How to Avail the Scheme?

Consumers must register on the Power Corporation website and deposit 30% of the outstanding amount during registration.

This extension is a great opportunity for consumers to settle dues with significant waivers. Don't miss out! ✅
