Blackmail & Threats? Big Controversy Hits Sunrisers Hyderabad in IPL 2025!

Sunrisers Hyderabad has requested the BCCI and the IPL Governing Council to intervene to stop the continuous 'blackmailing' of the Hyderabad Cricket Association, although the state association rejected these allegations of the franchise. Sunrisers said in an email to the top officials of the BCCI that if the HCA continues to threaten in this way, especially for free passes, then they may consider holding their home matches in another state.

    Ruckus with Hyderabad team

A top Sunrisers official wrote, 'I am writing this letter expressing concern over the continuous blackmailing of the HCA regarding the Sunrisers Hyderabad team. This is happening repeatedly and I think now BCCI and IPL Governing Council should take immediate action. The official said that the franchise needs clarity regarding the allocation of free passes to the association. Usually 5 percent of the total tickets are given.

He said, 'We want clarity regarding the free tickets given by the franchise to HCA. HCA President Jagan Mohan Rao, Treasurer and Secretary have been continuously threatening Sunrisers Hyderabad management and saying that if their demands are not met, they will not allow IPL matches to be held in Hyderabad.' The team official said that if the situation does not change, they can think of organizing Sunrisers matches in another state.

    Controversy is constantly increasing

He said, 'This is misuse of power. Last year also this issue was raised and this time also the situation is the same. If the situation remains the same, then Sunrisers matches can be organized in another state.' On the other hand, HCA President Jagan Mohan Rao said in a circular, 'HCA has not received any official email from Sunrisers management. There is no truth in these news going on social media.'

He said, 'If the email has really been received, then what is the conspiracy behind leaking the information through an unknown email instead of the official email of HCA or Sunrisers. This is a conspiracy by some people to tarnish the image of HCA and Sunrisers.'
