China’s RedNote App Raises Alarm in India Amid Rising Tensions with Pakistan

New Delhi: China has always been playing some new trick to conspire against India. Sometimes by interfering on the border and sometimes by helping Pakistan. But this time the trick that the dragon has played is even more dangerous. Actually, China has started a new digital war against India.

According to intelligence sources, China is using a mobile app, REDNOTE. This app provokes people to share anti-India content by luring them with money and reward. People of northeastern states like Arunachal Pradesh, Manipur and Assam are the target of this app.

This app is trying to create distrust towards India among the youth and tell the benefits of being close to China. The government has started the process of banning this app. Earlier also many Chinese apps were banned for national security reasons.

China has been challenging India's right over Arunachal Pradesh for a long time and has been showing it as 'South Tibet' in its map. Let us tell you that earlier also many Chinese apps were banned for national security reasons.

    What is Rednote app

The Rednote app looks normal from the outside. But, inside it is full of fake RAW (Research and Analysis Wing) documents, wrong maps of India, altered videos and content related to Pakistan's views.

Intelligence sources say that behind this app are experts of psychological warfare of China and Pakistan. They are using this app to infiltrate the minds and society of Indians. Sources said that China knows that Northeast India is very sensitive in terms of national security. Therefore, it is adopting the same strategy which it had previously used to create instability in Africa, Taiwan and Hong Kong.

Central government preparing to ban the app

At the same time, the central government is preparing to ban this app. According to sources, the central government and national security agencies are aware of the wrong activities of this app. The Ministry of Electronics and Information Technology has started the process of banning it in the country. India has previously banned many popular Chinese apps like TikTok, ShareIt and UC Browser for national security reasons.

China has previously been accused of using mobile apps to gather intelligence, influence youth and promote itself. Beijing often spreads misinformation to take advantage of ethnic and regional tensions in states like Manipur, Assam and Nagaland. They often send provocative messages like 'Delhi is far away' or 'China gives better development'. Its purpose is to incite separatist sentiments among the people of the Northeast.
