Four people were arrested on Sunday, February 1st, in connection with the firing incident at director Rohit Shetty's residence in Mumbai. Four youths have been arrested in the case, while another person is still being interrogated. The arrested accused were produced before the Esplanade Court in Mumbai on Sunday. The four arrested accused include Aditya Gyaneshwar Gaikwad (19 years old), Siddharth Deepak Yenpure (20 years old), Samarth Shivsharan Pomaji (18 years old), and Swapnil Bandu Sakat (23 years old).

A senior officer said that the post, written in Hindi, was issued from the account of 'Shubham Lonkar and Arzoo Bishnoi'. The post also mentioned the names of Bishnoi gang members Hari Boxer and Harman Shandu. It read, "We sent him messages several times asking him not to interfere in our work, but he didn't understand." The post, describing the shooting as a "trailer," stated, "If he (Rohit Shetty) doesn't listen, the next bullets won't be fired outside his residence; they will be fired inside his bedroom. This is a warning to the entire Bollywood: stay within your limits. If you don't mend your ways, things will get much worse, even worse than what happened to Baba Siddiqui. Those we have contacted should correct their actions in time. Otherwise, there will be nowhere left to hide."
