Ghibli-Style AI Filters May Be Stealing Your Data: Engineer's Warning Goes Viral

Ghibli images are the new sensation. These days, people around the world, including India, are crazy about Ghibli anime style photos. People are using AI tools to convert their photos into Ghibli art and sharing them on social media. But these photos can be misused. AI itself can misuse your photo. An AI engineer has told about this. He has given complete information on his Instagram handle. The AI engineer says that once your data reaches the AI company, there is no guarantee that it will not use it.

An Instagram user named Harsh Thakur has shared this information. He has told that a new trend is going on nowadays. People are changing their photos to Ghibli anime style with the help of AI tools. Harsh says that he is an AI engineer and knows well about such tools.

    How is Ghibli image made

In the video, Harsh explains that AI image generation tools usually use diffusion or gain. Gain means - Generative Adversarial Network. There are two neural networks in gain technology. One network creates the picture and the other decides whether the image looks real or not. Such patterns analyze your photos and change them into a new style.

If you give the photo to the AI tool, you will not have control

Harsh says that once you give your photo to the AI tool, you will not have control over it. That photo will also reach the AI. These tools can use your photo in some other context in the future. They can make it something that does not exist. It is possible that your image is generated in a misleading manner. AI should not do this intentionally, it just happens by mistake, then whom will you blame.

What AI learns is not deleted

Harsh says that those who are sharing their photos with AI, it is their choice, but do not share personal photos like family photos etc. with AI. Harsh said that once AI learns, that data is not deleted.

Do not share family and personal photos

Harsh has questioned the claims of AI companies. He says that companies who say that they do not use users' data to train AI, it cannot be so. If they do not use user data, they will not be able to give good results. The AI engineer has said that this is his advice. People should use their photos wisely. They should especially avoid making public those photos which include their family and private moments.
