GT vs SRH: Gill & Buttler Shine as Gujarat Titans Crush Sunrisers by 38 Runs

Ahmedabad: Sunrisers Hyderabad's journey from IPL 2025 is also almost over. Like Chennai Super Kings and Rajasthan Royals, the team is not completely out, but now it seems almost impossible to go to the next round. Hyderabad lost by 38 runs against Gujarat Titans at Narendra Modi Stadium. The bats of the top 3 batsmen of Gujarat Titans spoke again and the team scored 224 runs. In response, Sunrisers Hyderabad's middle order failed and the team could score only 6 runs for the loss of wickets. After this win, Gujarat has 14 points. Gill and Butler hit fifties


Captain Shubman Gill and Jos Butler hit fifties for Gujarat. Gill hit 10 fours and 2 sixes in 76 runs off 38 balls before getting run out. Butler scored 64 runs off 37 balls with the help of 3 fours and 4 sixes. After losing the toss, Gill and Sai Sudarshan made a tremendous partnership of 87 runs while playing first. Sai Sudarshan scored 48 runs and Washington Sundar scored 21 runs.


Sudarshan batted at a fast pace and hit 5 fours in the third over of Mohammad Shami. After this, he hit four fours in the 5th over of Harshal Patel. In the powerplay, Gujarat's score had reached 82 runs in six overs without losing any wicket. In this way, Gujarat got the best start in the powerplay this season. Gujarat scored 120 runs for one wicket in ten overs. In the next ten overs, Gujarat continued the same rhythm and added 104 runs. Sudarshan hit nine fours in 48 runs off 23 balls.


Hyderabad bowlers looked helpless


Gill shared a 62-run partnership for the second wicket with Jos Butler. Gujarat scored 162 runs for two wickets in 15 overs. Butler completed his half-century by hitting a six and a four in the 16th over of Zeeshan Ansari's innings. Butler hit a four and a six in the next over to take Gujarat past 200. Hyderabad captain Pat Cummins got Butler caught by Abhishek Sharma at long on.


Sundar hit a six off the first ball of Jaydev Unadkat in the 20th over but Jaydev dismissed Sundar on the next ball. Sundar scored 21 runs off 16 balls. Rahul Tewatia lifted the third ball for a six but was dismissed on the fifth ball. Unadkat also took the wicket of Rashid Khan on the last ball. For Hyderabad, Unadkat took three wickets for 35 runs in four overs while Cummins and Ansari got one wicket each.
