IND vs ENG: England had taken victory for granted... Tilak's innings is fine, we cannot forget 15 runs in 9 balls

Chennai: Tilak Verma was the hero of India's victory in the second match of the T20 series against England. Tilak played an excellent innings of 72 runs amidst the fall of wickets. He remained unbeaten till the end and finished the match with a four. Tilak is being praised a lot for this innings. In the 15th over, the Indian team had lost 7 wickets for 126 runs. 40 runs were needed in 31 balls. The run rate was needed less but only three wickets were left. From here Tilak got the support of number-9 and number-10 batsmen.

    Bishnoi and Arshdeep contributed

Arshdeep Singh came to bat at number 9. He scored 6 runs with the help of a four in 4 balls. Ravi Bishnoi, who came to the crease after his dismissal, did wonders. He hit two fours. He hit a four on mid-wicket with a flip against Bryden Carse and sent the ball over backward point for a boundary on Livingstone's ball. He scored 9 runs in 5 balls. Both these bowlers scored 15 runs in 9 balls with the bat at a strike rate of 167.

    Bishnoi also focuses on batting

Leg spinner Ravi Bishnoi focuses on improving his batting along with bowling. He did not lag behind in batting practice when he got a chance. He had posted a photo with bat and pads even before the Chennai T20. In its caption, he wrote - Why should only batsmen have all the fun?

Contribution of bowlers with the bat is important

Arshdeep Singh and Ravi Bishnoi have also given a big lesson to Team India. In recent years, it has been seen that Indian bowlers are not able to contribute with the bat. There was a time when there were bowlers like Zaheer Khan, S Sreesanth, Harbhajan Singh, Anil Kumble and Praveen Kumar, who used to bat very well. Bhuvneshwar Kumar also has a good record with the bat. Even small contributions from the bowlers can make a big difference.
