Josh Inglis Creates History: Becomes Fourth Australian to Score Centuries in All Formats

In the 2025 ICC Champions Trophy match at Lahore's Gaddafi Stadium, Australia's Josh Inglis scored a remarkable century against England.

Inglis's ton propelled the Australians in their pursuit of 352 runs. Before Inglis and Carey helped the Aussies exceed 280, they were at 136/4.

As Australia finished the run-chase in 47.2 overs, Inglis sprinted to his first ODI century. He made it onto an exclusive list.

Inglis goes berserk in record run-chase

Inglis goes wild in record run-chase Australia lost Travis Head and Steve Smith at the start of the chase. Nonetheless, Matthew Short and Marnus Labuschagne contributed 95 runs, advancing Australia beyond the 120 mark.

Subsequently, Inglis and Alex Carey formed a partnership that secured victory in the match. The former, together with Glenn Maxwell, assisted Australia in achieving a five-wicket victory.

Inglis scored an unbeaten 120 off 86 deliveries, hitting 8 fours and 6 sixes. He hit a six to clinch the victory.

    Joint-fastest century in Champions Trophy

Inglis raced to his century off just 77 balls, now the joint-fastest in Champions Trophy history. He equaled India's Virender Sehwag, who hammered a 77-ball ton against England in Colombo in 2002.

No other player has slammed a ton in less than 80 balls in the tournament.

Inglis, who slammed his maiden ODI ton, has raced to 663 runs. His tally includes three fifties.

    Fourth Australian with this feat

Inglis entered another elite list of batters during his knock.

He is now the fourth player with tons in each of the three formats for Australia. He joins Shane Watson, Glenn Maxwell, and David Warner on this list.

Inglis has a solitary century in two Tests, while his T20I career includes two hundreds (29 matches).
