Nitish Reddy Falls for 1 While Trying to Hit Big—Fans Say 'This Isn’t the IPL!'

Birmingham: Before the second Test match against England, the Indian team scored 310 runs for the loss of 5 wickets. The last wicket of the day fell in the form of Nitish Kumar Reddy. Nitish Kumar Reddy has got a chance for the first time on the England tour, but he wasted it. Not only this, the way Nitish Reddy got out was very bad. Nitish Kumar Reddy was able to score only 1 run after playing 6 balls. Nitish Reddy got a chance in place of Shardul Thakur for the second Test, but now Shubman Gill might be regretting his decision.

Let us tell you that in the 62nd over of the innings, Nitish Reddy gifted his wicket to Chris Woakes. Nitish left the incoming ball to go straight into the wicket, due to which he got bowled. If Nitish had played with an attacking approach on this ball, he could have got a boundary, but being defensive, his guess turned out to be completely wrong, due to which Team India suffered the 5th blow.

Shubman Gill and Ravindra Jadeja have taken charge

After the wicket of Nitish Kumar Reddy, captain Shubman Gill and Ravindra Jadeja together took charge for Team India. By the end of the day's play, Shubman Gill returned to the pavilion unbeaten after scoring 114 runs. This is Shubman Gill's second back to back century on this tour. Shubman Gill had scored a century in the first innings of the Headingley Test match.

At the same time, Ravindra Jadeja is playing after scoring 41 runs. Jadeja played a great support to Shubman Gill in the first day's play. Earlier, opener Yashasvi Jaiswal continued his strong form and played an innings of 87 runs. However, he missed the century. Yashasvi also scored a century for Team India in the Headingley Test.
