"Compared to the O1, the O3-Mini is better suited for STEM reasoning. The O3-Mini performs on par with the O1 in science, math, and coding with a moderate amount of reasoning effort, but it reacts more quickly.
According to OpenAI, the assessment of O3-Mini by knowledgeable testers demonstrated that it outperforms O1-Mini in terms of reasoning skills, accuracy, speed, and efficiency.
Availability:
O3-Mini is currently available for ChatGPT Plus, Team, and Pro users, while Enterprise users will get access to it by the end of this month. Additionally, O3-Mini will replace OpenAI O1-Mini in the model picker.
