Pahalgam Terror Attack: Digital Footprints Expose Pakistan Link, Contacts Traced to Karachi & Muzaffarabad

The agencies engaged in investigating the Pahalgam terror attack are investigating the digital footprints of the terrorists. These digital footprints have provided evidence of cross-border connections of the terrorists. Investigation has revealed that the terrorists had contacts in Muzaffarabad and Karachi safe houses. So what are these digital footprints? Know every detail.

After the terrorist incident in Pahalgam on April 22, the agencies engaged in the investigation are investigating the digital footprints of the terrorists. With its help, the agencies have been able to gather evidence of cross-border contacts of the terrorists. In such a situation, the question may arise in your mind that what is a digital footprint and how with its help the agencies have been able to find out the Pakistan connection of the terrorists. Actually, if you also use the Internet, then you also leave digital footprints. Let us understand this in detail.

    What is Digital Footprint

The meaning of this word is hidden in its name itself. Digital footprint means digital footprint. When you walk on wet soil or sand, you must have seen that you leave footprints behind you. Similarly, the traces of information left by us on the Internet are called digital footprints. When we search something online, post on social media, open a website or use an app, the record of every activity is recorded online. This information is called our digital footprint. Suppose you search for a mobile phone on Google, then open Flipkart and see a phone. Now the next time you open Facebook, ads of the same phone start appearing there. This means that whatever you did online, its record is made and this is your digital footprint.

So many types of Digital Footprint

Digital Footprint can be of two types. One is what we leave on the internet ourselves like posting or commenting something, and the second is what gets recorded without telling us like where we are clicking or when we are visiting a website. The way today the investigation agencies are investigating the digital footprints of the terrorists of Pahalgam and talking about their connection with Pakistan. Similarly, a hacker finds out your digital footprint to cheat you. Actually, the intelligence agencies of India have told that the digital footprints of the terrorists who carried out the terrorist incident of Pahalgam are reaching the safe houses in Muzaffarabad and Karachi.

What did the intelligence agencies say

The investigation agencies of India have found advanced category communication tools from the incident site. With the help of the digital footprints found from this, the agencies have claimed that the terrorists were in constant contact with a mastermind sitting in Pakistan. At the same time, their digital footprints have revealed that the terrorists had connections to the safe houses in Muzaffarabad and Karachi in Pakistan. In such a situation, the claim of Pakistan not being involved in the attack remains hollow.
