Pakistan Faces Fresh Blow as Bangladesh May Pull Out of Cricket Tour Over Security Fears

New Delhi: The Bangladesh Cricket Board is still thinking about the Pakistan tour. This tour is going to start in two weeks. The Bangladesh team has to play five T20 International matches in Pakistan between May 25 and June 3. These matches are to be held at Iqbal Stadium in Faisalabad and Gaddafi Stadium in Lahore. Due to tension between India and Pakistan, Bangladesh is not able to decide whether it is safe to tour or not.

    BCB issued a statement

The Pakistan Cricket Board has postponed the remaining eight matches of the 2025 Pakistan Super League. Earlier the board had decided to get it done in UAE but it was refused from there too. Bangladesh's Nahid Rana and Rishad Hussain, who are playing in the league, have gone to Dubai. BCB has said in a statement that they are talking about the T20 series. They say that the safety of the players is most important. BCB said in its statement, 'To play and prepare at the international level, the Bangladesh team will play two T20 International matches in UAE. This series will start next week.'

The Bangladesh board further said, 'The Bangladesh Cricket Board is constantly talking to the PCB regarding the Pakistan tour. BCB wants to tell that the safety of the players and support staff is most important. Any decision will be taken keeping in mind the situation in Pakistan. Whatever is right for the team and Bangladesh cricket will be done.

Bangladesh is a close friend of Pakistan

Bangladesh is considered to be the closest country to Pakistan. After the Pahalgam attack, Bangladesh's retired Major General ALM Fazlur Rahman wrote on social media that if India attacks Pakistan, then Bangladesh should occupy the 7 north-eastern Indian states. Even after this, Bangladesh is reluctant to send its cricket team to Pakistan.
