    Prabhsimran Singh missed a century

Punjab Kings' young opener Prabhsimran Singh played an innings of 91 runs. This short-statured batsman hit six fours and seven sixes in a 48-ball innings, hitting brilliant shots. Apart from him, captain Shreyas Iyer contributed 45 runs and Josh Inglis contributed 30 runs. Punjab wicketkeeper-batsman Prabhsimran missed his second century in the IPL by nine runs when a switch hit off Digvesh Rathi sent him back to the pavilion.

In the end, Shashank Singh scored an unbeaten 33 off 15 balls to take the team to this score. Punjab Kings had hit 16 sixes in the innings, out of which 13 were hit on fast bowlers.
