    Suryakumar's Heroics in Vain as LSG Defend 203 in Nail-Biting Finish Against MI

    The first win of the season has been achieved. LSG won by 12 runs in this match played against Mumbai Indians. Batting first, LSG scored 203 runs for the loss of eight wickets. This is the first time LSG has touched the 200 mark in their home ground. Chasing the score, MI had a great start and almost had the match in their hands. However, in the end, LSG made a great comeback and won a thrilling victory.

    Batting first, Mitchell Marsh gave LSG a great start. He scored 60 runs in just 31 balls. After this, Hardik Pandya dismissed Nicholas Pooran and Rishabh Pant cheaply. Ayush Badoni then scored 30 runs in 19 balls and shared a good partnership with Aiden Markram. Markram was dismissed after scoring 53 runs in 38 balls. In this way, the LSG team succeeded in crossing the 200 mark for the first time in their home ground. Overall, this was only the second time a team had scored 200 or more on this ground. Hardik bowled very well and took five wickets. He is playing the match without Rohit Sharma in IPL. When the MI team came out to chase the score, both the openers returned to the pavilion at a score of only 17. After this, Naman Dheer counter-attacked and scored 46 runs in just 24 balls. Suryakumar Yadav kept MI in the match by scoring 67 runs in 43 balls. However, Tilak Verma, who came as an impact player, played a very negative innings. He retired himself out after scoring only 25 runs in 23 balls. However, this happened when only seven balls were left in the innings. Captain Hardik Pandya remained unbeaten after scoring 28 runs in 16 balls. Digvesh Rathi gave only 21 runs in his four overs and proved to be the most economical bowler in this match.
