Kannada Actress Ranya Rao Arrested
🔹 Kannada actress Ranya Rao was arrested by the Directorate of Revenue Intelligence (DRI) on March 3 at Kempegowda Airport on charges of gold smuggling.
🔹 She was later presented before the Special Court, which sent her to judicial custody for 14 days.
🔹 When Ranya Rao was caught at the airport, authorities seized 14.8 kg of gold from her.
According to reports, Ranya Rao had traveled to Dubai four times in the last 15 days, which led the agency to start monitoring her activities.
Finally, on March 3, at around 7 PM, she was arrested at Bengaluru Airport with gold.
The police are now investigating the case thoroughly.
It has also been revealed that during a police raid at Ranya Rao’s house, gold jewelry worth ₹2.06 crore and cash worth ₹2.67 crore were seized.
