5 Wickets in 5 Balls! Digvesh Rathi Stuns Like Malinga, Creates T20 History in Viral Video

New Delhi: Leg spinner Digvesh Rathi has once again come into the limelight after a brilliant performance for Lucknow Super Giants (LSG) in the IPL 2025 season. He took five wickets in five consecutive balls. The video of this amazing performance is becoming increasingly viral on social media, in which Rathi is seen completely dodging the batsmen with his wrist magic in a match of the local T20 league. Although this video is before IPL 2025 but it is going viral now.

    Digvesh took wickets with googly

Along with Lucknow Super Giants, team owner Sanjiv Goenka has also shared its video. Rathi had bowled the 15th over of the innings. He bowled four batsmen on the first four balls. The first three were right-handed batsmen. All became victims of Rathi's googly. After this he bowled a left-handed batsman. On the 5th ball of the over, Digvesh again bowled a googly. This time the batsman was given LBW out. However, it is not clear when this match took place.

Was in the news during IPL

While playing for Lucknow Super Giants, Digvesh Rathi made headlines many times, especially due to his aggressive 'notebook celebration'. He also had to pay fines many times. He also had to be banned in one match due to an argument with Abhishek Sharma. At the same time, this Delhi-born bowler performed brilliantly with the ball in pressure situations, taking 14 wickets in 13 matches at an average of 30.64. However, the Super Giants failed to make it to the playoffs for the second consecutive year.

Digvesh Rathi is a mystery spinner. He was bought by Lucknow Super Giants for Rs 30 lakh in the IPL 2025 auction. Digvesh first came into the limelight due to his performance in the Delhi T20 League. He took 14 wickets in 10 matches in the 2024 season.
