Abhishek Sharma’s Century Celebration Goes Viral—What Was Written on That Slip?

Hyderabad: Sunrisers Hyderabad opening batsman Abhishek Sharma did wonders at the Rajiv Gandhi International Stadium on Sunday. He scored his first century in the Indian Premier League while playing against Punjab Kings. Abhishek completed his century in just 40 balls. Sunrisers were chasing a target of 246 runs. Abhishek Sharma also celebrated in a special way after his century.

    Abhishek did wonders

Abhishek Sharma completed his century off Yuzvendra Chahal's ball. As soon as he achieved this milestone, the entire stadium erupted in joy and gave him a standing ovation. With this century, Abhishek Sharma secured the sixth position in the list of fastest century makers in IPL history. After completing the century, Abhishek Sharma showed a white paper and waved it towards the audience. On looking at the camera, it was written on that paper, 'This is for the Orange Army.' The Orange Army is called the fans of Sunrisers Hyderabad.

    Iyer also saw the slip

When Abhishek Sharma took out that paper, Punjab Kings captain Shreyas Iyer could not stop himself and went to the batsman to see what was written on it. In this innings against Punjab Kings, Abhishek Sharma also made the highest score made by a Sunrisers Hyderabad batsman. He broke David Warner's previous record of 126 runs.

Abhishek also made the highest score made by an Indian batsman in the IPL, surpassing KL Rahul's previous record. Chasing 246 runs, Abhishek Sharma and Travis Head made an opening partnership of 171 runs. Travis Head also looked in great form, he scored 66 runs in 37 balls with the help of nine fours and three sixes.

    No runs this season

Before the match against Punjab Kings, Abhishek Sharma was struggling for runs and Sunrisers Hyderabad was also trailing. Abhishek Sharma and Travis Head performed brilliantly. Chasing 246 runs, Hyderabad expected a blazing start from the top order and Travis Head and Abhishek Sharma did exactly that.
