New Delhi: After Ranveer Allahbadia's controversy, now stand-up comedian Swati Sachdeva has started a new debate. A video of her is becoming increasingly viral on social media, in which she is joking about her mother getting a vibrator. After this video surfaced, a debate has started on social media whether comedy should also have some limits, especially when it involves parents.
According to the Dynamite News correspondent, this clip is taken from an episode uploaded eight days ago on Swati's YouTube channel. In this, she jokingly tells that her mother, who was trying to be a 'cool mother', became uncomfortable after finding her vibrator and started a conversation.
Swati joked, "I thought she (mother) was going to borrow the vibrator from me. She started calling it a 'gadget' or 'toy'. I said, 'Mom, I swear, it's Papa's.' To this she said, 'Don't talk nonsense, I know his taste.'"
Sharp reactions on social media
Swati's joke has sparked sharp reactions on social media. Some people called it crossing the limits of humor, while some called it vulgar. One user wrote, "Is this all comedy is left? Just vulgarity and cheap jokes?" At the same time, another user questioned, "If Ranveer and Samay's jokes can be prosecuted legally, will Swati be next?"
Another user wrote, "This is probably the weirdest and lowest level stand-up comedy you've ever seen."
Controversy related to Ranveer Allahbadia
The controversy started when a clip of Ranveer Allahbadia went viral in which he was seen asking objectionable questions to a contestant during Samay Raina's YouTube show 'India's Got Latent'. After this, several complaints were filed against the entire team of the show. Later, Allahbadia and Raina publicly apologized for their statement.
