Andhra Pradesh Shocker: Engineering student raped and blackmailed, three accused arrested

Amravati: A heartbreaking incident has come to light in Andhra Pradesh's NTR district, where a case of rape and blackmail of a 19-year-old engineering student has come to light. The accused lured her into a love trap and threatened to make the video viral. The incident has sparked outrage in the entire region.

    How did the crime happen?

According to the police, the victim was studying in her second year at an engineering college in Kanchikacherla while staying at a hostel in Paritala. According to the complaint, a youth named Sheikh Hussain (25), a resident of Paritala village, lured her into a love trap and called her to his house on the pretext of a family function.

When the student reached there, she found out that no function was taking place. Hussain called her to talk alone and then suddenly left from there. Then Sheikh Gali Saida (26), a painter, and Chinthala Prabhudas (25), a student of the same college, who were present there, intimidated her and raped her by threatening to leak false objectionable photos.

The student said in her complaint that Saida raped her forcefully, and the TV volume was turned up to suppress her screams. During this, Hussain and Prabhudas stood outside the door so that no one could come inside. After the incident, the accused threatened her that if she told anything to anyone, they would make the video of the incident viral on social media.

Told the family the police had taken action.

Fed up with constant threats and mental torture, the student finally informed her parents about the incident. The parents immediately informed the police, after which the police registered a case and arrested all three accused.

    Political connections of the accused

The matter became more serious when it was revealed that the accused, Sheikh Gali Said,a has close links with the ruling party YSRCP. According to reports, he was an active supporter of the party and has been involved in many political activities. After the incident, an old video went viral on social media, in which Saidwasis swas een abusing and threatening Deputy CM Pawan Kalyan before the elections.

Not only this, his pictures have also surfaced on social media, in which he is seen with former Nandigama MLA Modithok Jaganmohan Rao. The matter has taken a political turn, and the police are now investigating any political patronage of the accused.

    What did the police say?

Nandigama ACP Balagangadhar Tilak of NTR district told the media that all the accused have been detained questioned, and produced in the court, from where they have been sent to judicial custody for 14 days.

"We are investigating every aspect, and if any political influence has been used to suppress the crime, strict action will be taken against them as well." - ACP Balgangadhar Tilak

Outrage in the society, demand for strict punishment

After this incident, outrage has spread in the entire area. Local people and students have demanded strict action and appealed for severe punishment for the accused. This incident has once again raised serious questions about the safety of women.
