Asia Cup 2025: Suryakumar Yadav, 11 Players Confirmed; Big Battle for Remaining Spots

New Delhi: Pakistan has announced the team for Asia Cup 2025. It wreaked havoc on the players of the last Asia Cup team. The T20 career of its captain Babar Azam and commander Mohammad Rizwan is now ruined. On the other hand, the selection of the Indian team is to be done in the next few days. Various claims are being made in the report. It is even being said that a lot can be decided regarding the captaincy, while there are many reports about the ODI career of Virat Kohli and Rohit Sharma, but despite this, there are 11 players whose place in the Asia Cup 2025 team is completely certain.

The place of these 11 players is confirmed for the Asia Cup!

First of all, let us discuss those 11 players whose selection is certain. Abhishek Sharma and Sanju Samson as openers, while Shubman Gill, captain Suryakumar Yadav, Tilak Verma are sure to be seen in the middle order. Jitesh Sharma can be the second wicketkeeper, while Hardik Pandya as pace all-rounder, spin all-rounder Akshar Patel, pacer Arshdeep Singh and Varun Chakraborty as spin specialist are among those 11, who cannot be dropped from the team if they are fit. Abhishek Sharma, Tilak Verma, Suryakumar Yadav (captain), Shubman Gill, Rinku Singh, Jitesh Sharma, Sanju Samson, Hardik Pandya, Axar Patel, Arshdeep Singh, Varun Chakraborty

Fast bowling competition between Mohammad Siraj and Prasidh Krishna

If Jasprit Bumrah plays, he will be seen with Arshdeep Singh, while Mohammad Siraj and Prasidh Krishna will compete for the third fast bowler. If Bumrah does not play, it is possible that both of them join the team, but it will not be certain that both of them will play together in the playing-11. While Mohammad Siraj wreaked havoc with his lethal bowling on the England tour, Krishna also looked amazing in the last Test. He was also the Purple Cap winner in IPL 2025.

Shivam Dubey and Nitish Kumar Reddy for additional all-rounder

If Hardik Pandya joins the team as a pace all-rounder, then there will be a battle between Shivam Dubey and Nitish Kumar for the additional all-rounder in the team. However, Shivam Dubey's statistics are better, while Nitish Kumar Reddy has been the favorite of the selectors and head coach for some time. In such a situation, the selection is going to be interesting.

These three are in the race for additional batsmen

There will be a battle between Shreyas Iyer, Yashasvi Jaiswal, KL Rahul for additional batsmen. If KL Rahul is there, he can do wicketkeeping as well as opening. He has also given statements about playing in the T20 team many times. Shreyas Iyer is a very dangerous batsman and his record in big tournaments has been excellent. Especially, he is unbeatable against spin, while Yashasvi Jaiswal has become a terror for bowlers at the international level in a short span of time. Now it remains to be seen whom head coach Gautam Gambhir, captain Suryakumar Yadav and chief selector Ajit Agarkar give a chance.
