BCCI Creates 'Special Route' to Evacuate Players From Dharamshala Amid Tension

New Delhi. Due to tension on the India-Pakistan border, the match between Punjab Kings and Delhi Capitals was canceled in the middle. This match was being played in Dharamshala. There is a war-like atmosphere between India and Pakistan. There is a panic in BCCI about IPL at this time. In Dharamshala, players and spectators were asked to vacate the stadium immediately for security reasons. The Board of Control for Cricket in India will take the players, support staff and broadcast team from Dharamshala to a safe place through a special train.

BCCI Vice President Rajeev Shukla said, 'We are arranging a special train from near Dharamshala to bring everyone home safely. As of now the match has been called off and the stadium has been evacuated. We will take a decision on the future of the tournament based on the situation tomorrow. At the moment the safety of the players is of utmost importance. The match could not be continued tonight due to the situation. It was not safe.'

Players from both the teams have reached their hotels. And now they are waiting for more information from the Board of Control for Cricket in India for further action. There is an atmosphere of panic in the IPL at the moment and there was uneasiness among the players of both DC and PBKS even before the game started. Since both the teams had reached before the airport was closed, there was no clarity on their departure from the mountains.
