Bengaluru: A complaint has been lodged at the Cubbon Park Police Station against Indian cricketer and IPL 2025 winner Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB) member Virat Kohli in the stampede case outside the M Chinnaswamy Stadium. This complaint has been lodged by senior social worker H.M. Venkatesh.

The matter will be investigated

In response, the police have issued a clarification saying that the complaint will be considered under the already registered case and it will be investigated during the ongoing investigation. On Thursday, a felicitation ceremony was organized for RCB at the Chinnaswamy Stadium. The ceremony was going on inside the stadium but a stampede broke out outside the stadium, killing 11 people and injuring 33 others.

In this case, Bengaluru Police on Friday arrested four officials including the marketing head of the franchise.

The police accepted the complaint and said that an FIR has already been registered in connection with the stampede and his letter will be investigated.
