According to PTI, the ranger was trying to enter the Indian border, when he was caught by Indian soldiers. BSF is now interrogating him, so that the purpose of entering can be known. Security has been increased on the border after the incident.

The Ranger was trying to cross the border and enter India.

However, it is not yet clear why the Pakistani Ranger wanted to enter the Indian border. BSF officials are interrogating him. They are trying to know what was his intention to cross the border. It is worth mentioning that after the Pahalgam attack, recently BSF DIG Yogendra Singh Rathore had issued a statement. During this, Rathore said, 'The incident of Pahalgam is a very sad incident, the Government of India has taken strict steps. As far as the border is concerned, protecting the borders is the first responsibility of the BSF... Any kind of laxity in the security of the borders will not be tolerated, we have an eye on every corner, our soldiers are capable of stopping any attack. We are in coordination with all our agencies... We are always on alert 24 hours a day, 365 days a year... No one can do any nefarious act on the border in the presence of BSF'.
