    In the 10th Governing Council meeting of NITI Aayog, PM Narendra Modi emphasized cooperative federalism and urged states to function with the Centre like 'Team India'.

    New Delhi: The 10th Governing Council meeting of NITI Aayog was held at Bharat Mandapam in New Delhi on Saturday, which was chaired by Prime Minister Narendra Modi. During this, Prime Minister Modi said that we should work on future-ready cities. He said, "Growth, innovation and sustainability should be the engine of development of our cities." He said that it is important to keep development, newness and environment in mind. Cities have to be made such that they can face the challenges ahead.


    Centre-state should work like Team India


    PM Modi said a special thing in the 10th Governing Council meeting of NITI Aayog. He said that every state should have at least one place which is famous all over the world. PM Modi said that every state should make a place which is very beautiful to look at and has all kinds of facilities. This will also lead to development of nearby cities as tourists will come there too. This will benefit the states and people will get new places to visit. He said that the state and central governments should work together like Team India.


    The main theme of this year's meeting is- 'From Developed State to Developed India @ 2047', in which discussions were held on making India a developed nation by keeping the states at the center. The vision of 'Developed India @ 2047' was discussed in this meeting.


    Chief Ministers of many states attended this meeting on Saturday morning. Himachal Pradesh Chief Minister Sukhvinder Singh Sukhu, Madhya Pradesh Chief Minister Mohan Yadav, Chhattisgarh Chief Minister Vishnu Dev Sai and Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath also came. Jammu and Kashmir Chief Minister Omar Abdullah also reached the meeting. Plans to take the country forward were discussed in the meeting. All the Chief Ministers gave suggestions for the development of their respective states. Prime Minister Modi listened carefully to the suggestions of all the Chief Ministers. He said that all the states will have to work together, only then India will be able to become developed by 2047.


    Let us tell you that this meeting provides a platform to the Center and the States / Union Territories to discuss the developmental challenges facing the country and to reach a consensus on how the states can become the foundation for making India a developed nation. Topics like promoting entrepreneurship, skill development and sustainable employment generation will also be discussed in this.


    Along with this, the Governing Council of NITI Aayog will also focus on building a consensus on the topics of the Fourth National Conference of Chief Secretaries to be held on 13-15 December 2024. Secretaries of the Government of India and Chief Secretaries of all the states and union territories participated in this conference and gave suggestions on the agenda of 'Developed India @ 2047'. In this meeting of the 10th Governing Council of NITI Aayog, Chief Ministers, Lieutenant Governors, Union Ministers, Vice Chairman, Members and CEOs of all the states and union territories of the country participated.
