Congratulations, Team India! ICC Champions Trophy 2025 Winner

Dubai: Team India has once again created history by winning the ICC Champions Trophy 2025. Under the captaincy of Rohit Sharma, India defeated New Zealand by 4 wickets in the final match played at Dubai International Cricket Stadium. With this victory, India has won its third ICC Champions Trophy title. Earlier, India won the Champions Trophy in 2002 (under Sourav Ganguly) and in 2013 (under MS Dhoni). After 12 years, India has once again lifted the Champions Trophy, and the entire nation is celebrating this glorious victory.

The Indian team chased down the target of 252 runs in 49 overs, losing 6 wickets, and defeated New Zealand by 4 wickets to become the Champions Trophy 2025 Winner. The hero of this victory was once again captain Rohit Sharma, who played a brilliant half-century knock and laid the foundation of Team India's historic win.

🏆 India Defeated New Zealand by 4 Wickets in the Final Match

The final match started with New Zealand winning the toss and choosing to bat first. The Kiwi team scored 251 runs for the loss of 7 wickets in their 50 overs. In response, the Indian team chased the target of 252 runs in 49 overs and scored 254 runs for 6 wickets, registering a thrilling victory by 4 wickets. With this victory, India lifted the ICC Champions Trophy 2025.

The match was filled with excitement and suspense, but Team India held their nerve in the crucial moments and snatched the trophy from New Zealand's hands.

💥 Rohit Sharma's Brilliant Half-Century Gave India a Flying Start

In this final match, India's captain Rohit Sharma and Shubman Gill came to open the innings. Both played cautiously in the beginning but later accelerated the innings, giving India a strong start.

    • Rohit Sharma played a magnificent knock of 76 runs in 83 balls, hitting 7 fours and 3 sixes.
    • Shubman Gill scored 31 runs in 50 balls with 1 six.
    • However, Virat Kohli was dismissed early after scoring just 1 run, which shocked the Indian fans.

But Rohit Sharma's brilliant innings gave India the momentum it needed to chase down the target of 252 runs.

🏏 Shreyas Iyer and KL Rahul Anchored the Innings

After Rohit Sharma's dismissal, the responsibility came on Shreyas Iyer and KL Rahul to keep the chase on track.

    • Shreyas Iyer played an excellent knock of 48 runs in 62 balls, hitting 2 fours and 2 sixes.
    • Axar Patel contributed 29 runs in 40 balls with 1 four and 1 six.
    • Hardik Pandya also contributed 18 runs before getting out.

In the final overs, KL Rahul (34 not out) and Ravindra Jadeja (9 not out) finished the game for India, helping them clinch their third Champions Trophy title.

🏏 New Zealand's Bowlers Tried Their Best but Failed to Stop India

The New Zealand bowlers did their best to defend the total of 252 runs, but the Indian batsmen were in full form.

    • Mitchell Santner and Michael Bracewell took 2 wickets each.
    • Matt Henry and Kyle Jamieson got 1 wicket each but failed to break India's winning momentum.

In the end, India comfortably chased down the target in 49 overs and became the ICC Champions Trophy 2025 Winner.
