DC vs KKR Highlights: Delhi Crumble at the Death, Kolkata Regain Winning Momentum in IPL 2025

New Delhi: Kolkata Knight Riders are back on the winning track in IPL 2025. In the last three matches, KKR had lost two while one match was inconclusive due to rain. Now KKR defeated Delhi Capitals by 14 runs at Arun Jaitley Stadium. Playing first, KKR's team scored 204 runs for 9 wickets. Delhi's team was looking strong at one time. The team needed 67 runs in 41 balls and had 7 wickets left. Even after this, the team could only score 190 runs for 9 wickets. This is Delhi's fourth defeat in 10 matches. Both the main finishers of the team, Ashutosh Sharma and Tristan Stubbs failed.

    KKR batted aggressively

After losing the toss, batting first, Kolkata scored a strong score due to the useful performance of its top order batsmen. Angkrish Raghuvanshi played an innings of 44 runs with the help of three fours and two sixes in 32 balls. Rinku Singh scored 36 runs with the help of three fours and a six in 25 balls. Opener Rahmanullah Gurbaz hit five fours and a six in 26 runs off 12 balls. Sunil Narayan hit two fours and two sixes in 27 runs off 16 balls. Captain Ajinkya Rahane hit four fours and a six in 26 runs off 14 balls. Andre Russell hit two fours and a six in 17 runs off nine balls.

Kolkata had an aggressive start but wickets fell continuously soon after the powerplay. However, then a partnership between Rinku and Raghuvanshi flourished and they laid the foundation for a big score. Starc took the wicket of Rovman Powell on the third ball and Anukul Roy on the fourth ball of the last over but Russell was run out on the fifth ball. Venkatesh Iyer was out after scoring seven runs.
