    In Match 29 of IPL 2025, Mumbai Indians ended Delhi Capitals’ home winning streak with a strong all-round performance. MI posted 205 runs, and Delhi failed to chase down the target.

    DC’s Winning Streak Ends at Home! Mumbai Indians Seal Big Victory in Style

    New Delhi: Mumbai Indians defeated Delhi Capitals by 12 runs in the 29th match of Indian Premier League 2025. In the match, Mumbai team batted first after losing the toss and scored 205 runs in the stipulated 20 overs. In response, Delhi Capitals team was all out after scoring 193 runs in the last 19 overs. In this way, after winning five consecutive matches, Delhi Capitals' campaign has now come to a halt. At the same time, Mumbai team won the second victory this season.


    Delhi Capitals had a bad start

    Delhi Capitals, who came out to chase the target, had a very bad start. Delhi lost the wicket of opener Jack Fraser McGurk in the first over of the innings. McGurk was made a victim by Mumbai's Deepak Chahar. However, after this Karun Nair and Abhishek Porel took charge together for Delhi. There was a tremendous partnership of 119 runs for the second wicket between the two. During this, Abhishek Porel was dismissed after scoring 33 runs in 25 balls. In his innings, he also hit 3 fours and 1 six.


    After Porel's dismissal, Karun Nair's storm continued from one end, but the bowlers of Mumbai Indians definitely got a chance to make a comeback. KL Rahul, who batted strongly in the middle order against RCB, could not perform well in this match. Rahul was dismissed after scoring 15 runs in 13 balls. Apart from this, captain Akshar Patel scored 9 and Tristan Stubbs scored only 1 run.


    Mumbai had a stormy start in batting


    In this match against Delhi Capitals, Mumbai Indians were invited to bat first after losing the toss. Mumbai team scored a strong score of 205 runs for five wickets in the stipulated 20 overs at Arun Jaitley Cricket Stadium in Delhi with the brilliant innings of Tilak Verma (59), Ryan Rickelton (41), Suryakumar Yadav (40) and Naman Dheer (38 not out).


    In this match for Mumbai, Rohit Sharma and Rickelton added 47 runs in five overs in the opening partnership. Rohit once again missed playing a big innings after a good start. Rohit scored 18 runs in 12 balls with two fours and a six. Vipraaj Nigam got Rohit LBW. Rickelton scored 41 runs in 25 balls with five fours and two sixes. Suryakumar Yadav scored 40 runs in 28 balls with the help of five fours and two sixes.


    Tilak's second consecutive fifty in this season


    For Mumbai, Tilak Verma played a stormy half-century innings of 59 runs hitting six fours and three sixes in 33 balls. This is his second consecutive half-century. Apart from this, Naman Dheer played a tremendous innings of 38 runs not out hitting three fours and two sixes in just 17 balls.


    For Delhi, both wrist spinners Kuldeep Yadav and Vipraaj Nigam proved to be excellent and got wickets for the team in the middle overs. Kuldeep took two wickets for just 23 runs in four overs while Vipraaj took two wickets for 41 runs in four overs.
