Digvesh Rathi's Bold Celebration After Dismissing Idol Narine—Risking Ban in IPL 2025?

Kolkata: Lucknow Super Giants spin bowler Digvesh Rathi has made a lot of headlines in IPL 2025 so far. Digvesh has had to face a fine twice in the IPL due to his celebration. At the same time, he was also given demerit points. But despite this, Digvesh is not giving up and he has done something similar once again. This time he has done a unique celebration after taking a wicket against KKR.

    Digvesh is not coming back

This time Digvesh is in the news due to his bowling as well as celebrating in a unique way after dismissing his idol Sunil Narine. In a thrilling match against Kolkata Knight Riders at Eden Gardens, Rathi took the valuable wicket of Narine and after that celebrated a new thing. Rathi bowled a googly ball in the 7th over of KKR's innings. Narine could not understand the ball properly and missed trying to hit a big shot. The ball did not get much power and Aiden Markram ran from long-off and took a brilliant catch.

    Unique celebration this time

Digvesh Rathi celebrated in a different way this time. Earlier he was in controversy for the 'notebook' celebration. This time he bent down and signed on the grass. This wicket was very special for Rathi. He has publicly praised Narine and has also molded his bowling in the style of this West Indies all-rounder. Seeing Rathi's celebration, people talked a lot on social media. This time if demerit points or fine is imposed on Rathi, then his ban is also certain.

    Fierce controversies

Earlier, Digvesh Rathi was in controversies due to his way of celebrating. He was also fined more than Rs 5.6 lakh and also got several demerit points. But this time his gesture was funny and less aggressive than before. With several crucial wickets in IPL 2025 and becoming a reliable option for Rishabh Pant in difficult times, Rathi is fast becoming one of the most exciting young spinners in the league.
