GT vs CSK: Gill Speaks After Humiliating Defeat, Playoff Hopes Dim

Ahmedabad: In their last league match of IPL 2025, Gujarat Titans team was defeated by Chennai Super Kings by 83 runs. Batting first in the match, CSK team put 230 runs on the board. In response, the Gujarat team was all out for just 147 runs. This is Gujarat's second consecutive defeat this season and now its chances of being in the top 2 of IPL 2025 seem a little less. After Gujarat's loss, their captain Shubman Gill has given a big statement.

Shubman Gill spoke after the defeat

Shubman Gill said after the defeat that this match had gone away from us in the powerplay itself. Gill said, 'I think the game went away from us in the powerplay itself, we could never come back. Chasing 230 runs is always a difficult target.'

He further said, 'Teams that are already out have nothing to lose and they play with full strength. We could not stay calm under pressure and I think we came under pressure. It is very important to control the runs in the middle overs. If you do not do this then it will be challenging.'

Why did Hyderabad lose in two matches?

Shubman Gill further said, 'We missed this in the last two matches. (Mood in the dressing room) It will be very difficult for us. The good thing is that we have two or three matches left, so the boys will be motivated to play in Mohali. Fortunately, I am going back to my hometown... I have played a lot of cricket there and it is going to be really exciting.'
