    Himachal Crime Shocker: 17th Murder in 61 Days – 19-Year-Old Killed in Love Triangle, Ex-Girlfriend Among 4 Arrested

    Una. 17th murder has taken place in 61 days in Himachal Pradesh. 19-year-old youth Hardeep, who was kidnapped from Una district, has been killed. However, his body has not been found even after a week. But the police have arrested two youths including the girl. A video also surfaced after the kidnapping of the youth, in which it was seen that the youth was brutally treated. Police had arrested two youths seen in the video in this case, who were produced in the court on Friday.


    According to the information, 19-year-old Hardeep of Upper Arniala village near Una district headquarters was missing since last Sunday. In this kidnapping case, two youths were arrested from Mehatpur and Haroli of the district. In this case, the girl from Hanogi of Mandi and her companion have also been arrested. This is a case of love triangle.


    SP Captain Rakesh Singh of Una presented the facts of the initial investigation to the media in a press conference on Friday. Police said that there is a possibility of murder of Hardeep alias Jiya. However, it will be confirmed only after the body is found. Police has now said that after interrogating all the four accused together, a big disclosure will be made on this matter.


    SP Rakesh Singh said that the case of kidnapping of Hardeep Singh alias Jiya can also turn into murder. On Thursday, two accused named Taranjit and Manpreet were arrested. Now the police has also arrested the mastermind of the kidnapping and the accused girl from Hanogi of Mandi. SP Rakesh Singh said that prima facie this case also seems to be a love triangle.


    A video of the assault on the youth had surfaced.


    In fact, the girl was friends with Hardeep earlier. Later she got into a relationship with another youth. This led to the crime. It is worth noting that in the 38-second video, the youth was asking Hardeep why he calls him.


    The SP said that after registering an FIR in this case on February 26, initially only one youth was being considered the accused, but in the investigation, the involvement of a girl and two other youths was also found. The police will soon reveal the whole matter after rigorous interrogation of all these accused.


    Where was the body thrown?


    According to the information received from the police, the accused had thrown Hardeep's body in the Sutlej Hydel Canal in Brahmapur village near Nangal in Punjab and now police teams are searching for the body in Nangal. Hardeep's mobile phones were traced from Chandigarh. Here the accused had sold the phones to the shopkeeper.


    Villagers' anger burst out, mob attacked the accused


    On the other hand, on Friday evening, the people of Upper Arniala burst out in anger and surrounded the Sadar police station. During this, when the police brought the accused from Dehlan village to the Sadar police station, the mob attacked them. Additional police force had to be called.
