Hope for Pakistan? The Unexpected Scenario That Could Take Them to the Semi-Finals!

This tournament started on 19 February and on 23 February, i.e. in just four days, Pakistan was almost out of the tournament.

India refused to play in Pakistan, after which there was a lot of anger in Pakistan about India.

How will Pakistan reach the semi-finals?

On social media, people of Pakistan were saying that this can be answered only by defeating India. But in the match played in Dubai on Sunday, Pakistan lost to India by six wickets.

With this defeat, many ifs and buts have been put on Pakistan to remain in the tournament.

In the Champions Trophy, Pakistan is in Group A with India but is at the bottom of the points table.

India is at the top and New Zealand is at number two. Bangladesh and Pakistan are at number three and four respectively.

Even after losing two matches, if Pakistan has to make it to the semi-finals, then it will have to win the match with Bangladesh on February 27 by a big margin.

Apart from this, New Zealand and India have a match in Dubai on March 2. In this match, India will have to win against New Zealand. But this will not be enough.

New Zealand has two matches left in Group A and it will have to lose both the matches. The first match is today i.e. on Monday with Bangladesh and the second is with India.

    Pakistan's path becomes difficult

Overall, New Zealand will have to lose to both Bangladesh and India. It is not just about losing but it will have to lose by a big margin.

If even one of these does not happen, then Pakistan will be out of this tournament. That is, to reach the semi-finals, Pakistan now has to depend more on others than itself.

Obviously, other teams will play matches for themselves and not for Pakistan. Practically now it is almost impossible for Pakistan to make it to the semi-finals.

After losing to India, Pakistan captain Mohammad Rizwan expressed disappointment and said on Sunday, "We won the toss but could not take advantage of it. We wanted to take our score to 281 but the Indian bowlers bowled well. When we and Saud were batting, the effort was to score runs quickly. But our short selection was not right and wickets kept falling. In such a situation, our team was out for 241 runs. "

Rizwan also expressed concern over Pakistan's fielding. Rizwan said, "We also need to improve our fielding. We made a lot of mistakes during the match and we are repeating these mistakes. We need to work on this.

Abdul Gaffar, Sports Head of Pakistan's English newspaper Dawn, posted a video on social media and said, "Now I don't even feel like talking about Pakistan's cricket. It seems that I should find some other work. Now I am getting depressed. This tournament came to Pakistan after almost 29 years and we celebrated a lot but we were eliminated on the fourth day of the tournament. Congratulations to Team India. Winning the match without Bumrah shows how much confidence this team has.
