    Mohammed Shami Creates World Record in ICC Champions Trophy 2025

    In the second match of ICC Champions Trophy 2025, Team India's dashing fast bowler Mohammed Shami has made a big record in bowling. Shami has completed his 200 wickets in ODI format. With this feat, Shami also made a world record in his name.

    Shami Breaks Records with 200 ODI Wickets


    Dubai: In the second match of ICC Champions Trophy 2025, Indian team's dashing fast bowler Mohammed Shami did wonders. In this match against Bangladesh, Shami completed 200 wickets in ODIs and made a world record by leaving behind big giants. Shami has become the first bowler in the world to take 200 ODI wickets in the least number of balls. In this case, Shami has left behind Australia's legendary fast bowler Mitchell Starc.


    Shami touched this figure in 5126 balls in ODI format. Mitchell Starc took 200 wickets in ODIs by bowling 5240 balls. Apart from this, Pakistan's Saqlain Mushtaq took his 200th wicket by bowling 5451 balls, while Brett Lee had to bowl 5640 balls to take 200 wickets. In this way, Shami is now at the top in this matter.

The record of taking 200 wickets in the least number of matches is in the name of Australia's Mitchell Starc. Starc took 200 wickets in just 102 matches. New Zealand's Trent Boult is at the third place in this case. Boult completed 200 ODI wickets in 107 matches.
