India A Team Announced for England Tour, Uncapped 29-Year-Old Named Captain

New Delhi. India has announced the A team for the England tour. BCCI has made Abhimanyu Easwaran the captain of the India A team. 29-year-old Easwaran has not played a single match for India yet. Batsmen like Ishan Kishan, Karun Nair have returned to the India A team. India A team will play two matches before the India-England Test series. Shubman Gill and Sai Sudarshan will join this team before the second match.

Indian selectors have made wicketkeeper batsman Dhruv Jurel the vice-captain of the India A team. India A team will play two matches in Canterbury and Northampton. An 18-member team has been announced for the first match. Shubman Gill and Sai Sudarshan will also join the team in the second match. In this way, there will be at least 11 players in the India A team who have played Test matches for India. These include Yashasvi Jaiswal, Karun Nair, Dhruv Jurel, Nitish Kumar Reddy, Ishan Kishan, Shardul Thakur, Mukesh Kumar, Akash Deep, Harshit Rana, Sarfaraz Khan and Shubman Gill.

India will play a 5-match Test series

The Indian team will play a 5-match Test series against England from June 20. After the retirement of Rohit Sharma and Virat Kohli, India will take the field with a new Test captain in this series. Shubman Gill has taken the lead in this race for captaincy. Sending him on the England tour before the Test series is also an indication of this.

    Ishan Kishan's selection is surprising

Ishan Kishan's return has been a bit surprising. After being dropped from the Indian Test team, Ishan's performance has not been such that it can be called great. But the selectors want to give him a full chance by selecting him for the England tour. However, it is also certain that Ishan Kishan's turn will come in the Indian team only after KL Rahul, Rishabh Pant and Dhruv Jurel.

India A team: Abhimanyu Easwaran (captain), Yashasvi Jaiswal, Karun Nair, Dhruv Jurel (vice-captain), Nitish Kumar Reddy, Shardul Thakur, Ishan Kishan, Manav Suthar, Tanush Kotian, Mukesh Kumar, Akash Deep, Harshit Rana, Anshul Kamboj, Khalil Ahmed, Rituraj Gaikwad, Sarfaraz Khan, Tushar Deshpande, Harsh Dubey. Shubman Gill and Sai Sudarshan (for the second match)
