₹27 Crore Question: Is Rishabh Pant Failing to Justify His Mega IPL Price Tag?

Lucknow: In the 13th match of IPL 2025, Punjab Kings team is in front of Lucknow Super Giants. In this match, Lucknow team came out to bat first. Everyone's eyes were once again on Lucknow captain Rishabh Pant. But he was a complete flop once again. This has once again emphasized that Lucknow has made a big mistake by investing Rs 27 crore on Pant.

Made a mistake by Lucknow team? Lucknow Super Giants have bought Rishabh Pant for Rs 27 crore. Now the question is how will the team recover this amount. Pant has scored only 17 runs in three matches so far. It has been seen in the history of IPL that expensive players often do not perform well.

    Flopping from the first match

Rishabh Pant was out without opening the account in the first match of IPL 2025. After this, he scored 15 runs in the second match. It was expected that he would play well in the third match. But, Pant's poor form continued. He got out putting the team in trouble. Glenn Maxwell dismissed him when the team's score was just 35 runs. Pant scored only 2 runs off five balls.

    Lucknow's bad start

LSG had a bad start again. Mitchell Marsh was out on the very first ball. He fell victim to a golden duck. After this, Aiden Markram was also out after scoring 28 runs. Rishabh Pant was the third batsman to be out. The problem for Lucknow Super Giants is that Pant is neither able to score runs nor is he able to captain properly. He is also not able to understand which bowler to use when and what changes to make on the field.

Rishabh Pant is also making many mistakes as a wicketkeeper. This is causing loss to the team. Rishabh Pant is also in trouble after failing in three consecutive matches.
