Instagram Accounts of Hania Aamir, Mahira Khan Blocked in India After Pahalgam Attack

After the Pahalgam terror attack, social media platforms like YouTube and Instagram have taken strict steps. On the evening of Wednesday, April 30, the Instagram accounts of Pakistani actresses Hania Aamir, Mahira Khan, Ali Zafar, Ayeza Khan, Sajal Ali, Sanam Saeed, Maya Ali and Iqra Aziz Hussain, among others, have been blocked in India. This has happened after the Indian government took action to block the content of Pakistani General Entertainment Channel (GEC) on YouTube.

This is the second setback for Hania Aamir and her fans. Because before the Instagram account was banned in India, she was reportedly removed from the Punjabi film 'Sardar Ji 3'. In this, she was going to be seen with Diljit Dosanjh. But due to the Pahalgam terrorist attack, the film industry has opened a front against Pakistani artists.

Fawad Khan's film also banned

Before this, Fawad Khan's 'Abir Gulaal' was banned. However, his Instagram account has not been blocked till the time of writing the news. It also includes the names of Saba Qamar Zaman, Yumna Zaidi, Mehwish Hayat and Urva Hocane, whose accounts are still visible. Let us tell you that the ban of social media accounts of Pakistani artists in India is a big deal. Because they have a lot of fans in India too. It is being told that this step has been taken immediately after the government banned 16 Pakistani YouTube channels for making inflammatory and communally sensitive content viral.

People will not be able to watch Pakistani dramas either

Apart from the ban on Instagram accounts, India has also taken action on some Pakistani YouTube channels, including HUM TV, ARY Digital and GEO TV. Pakistani dramas used to be streamed on these channels, which Indian people liked. They used to watch them. They used to praise them. In such a situation, due to the ban, they will not be able to watch further episodes.
