Is Munir Planning a Coup? Ceasefire Violation Shows Army Out of Sharif’s Control

New Delhi. After Operation Sindoor, Pakistan's army had requested the Indian Army to stop embarrassing itself by rubbing its nose in the world. When ceasefire was agreed after the mediation of US President Donald Trump, Pakistan did not accept it. This puts a question mark on the ceasefire agreement. It also puts a question mark on the mediation of America. Pakistan is not ready to accept what America wants from it? Although Pakistan itself had contacted America for ceasefire. But it again carried out a fierce drone attack on Saturday night.

It is clear that General Asim Munir's army is now completely out of the control of the Shahbaz Sharif government. Experts believe that now either dictatorship will come or General Munir will lose his position. So far, ceasefire violations have taken place at 11 places in India from Pakistan's side. All these attacks have been foiled. But it seems that General Asim Munir is now trying to follow the path of Pervez Musharraf. He is trying to increase his stature in the army by attacking India.

General Asim Munir feels that by inciting the army against India, he can remain on the post of Army Chief for a long time. Along with this, he can very cleverly capture power by proving Shahbaz Sharif a weak and useless Prime Minister. The army has a history of capturing power in Pakistan. Whenever any internal crisis arises in Pakistan, the army captures power by diverting people's attention towards the imaginary threat from India.

This act of General Asim Munir has further raised suspicion of a coup because America had mediated for the ceasefire with India. Rejecting America's mediation can have very deep meanings. If General Munir has violated the ceasefire, he must have done so on a very big trust. This will weaken the position of Shahbaz Sharif and General Asim Munir will become more powerful.
