Ishan Kishan Turns Cold After Blazing Century—Fails Again for Sunrisers vs Gujarat

Ahmedabad: Ishan Kishan, who scored a century in the very first match of IPL 2025 for Sunrisers Hyderabad, has become the biggest villain of the team. After scoring a century, Ishan Kishan's bat became completely silent. Ishan has been failing back to back for the team. Ishan especially disappointed Sunrisers in the match in which it desperately needed a win. Because it was a do or die match for Sunrisers against Gujarat Titans.

In this match for Sunrisers, Ishan Kishan could only score 13 runs in 17 balls. In this many balls, 14-year-old Vaibhav Suryavanshi had hit a fifty against Gujarat Titans, but experienced Ishan Kishan was seen struggling against the same Gujarat Titans. Due to this disappointing batting of Ishan Kishan, the Sunrisers team had to face defeat.

Gujarat Titans made a splash while batting first

In this match against Sunrisers, Gujarat Titans were invited to bat first after losing the toss. Batting first, captain Shubman Gill and Sai Sudarshan batted brilliantly for Gujarat. Sai Sudarshan played an innings of 48 runs for the team while Shubman contributed 76 runs in 38 balls. At the same time, Jos Buttler played an innings of 64 runs in 37 balls.

In response to this, Sunrisers did not have a special start. Travis Head, who started off the innings in a stormy manner for the team, was dismissed after scoring 16 runs in 20 balls. However, Abhishek single-handedly held the fort for Sunrisers for some time, but in the end he too was dismissed after scoring 74 runs. Apart from Abhishek, no one else could show his magic in batting for Sunrisers.
