KL Rahul Shines in England: Smashes Century Against England Lions

Northampton: The second unofficial Test match between India A and England Lions is currently being played in Northampton. In this match, England captain James Roe won the toss and decided to bowl first. In this match, KL Rahul took the responsibility of opening for Team India and everyone's eyes were on him. KL Rahul has not disappointed his fans and he has scored a brilliant century in this match.

    Scored a century while opening

KL Rahul has recently reached England. He has shown his brilliant form as soon as he reached there. He scored a century while playing against England Lions. This is the 19th century of his first class career. With this, KL Rahul has now staked his claim for opening in the Test series against England. KL Rahul can also become the permanent opener of Team India because Rohit Sharma has retired from this format.

Dhruv Jurel also hit a half-century

KL Rahul completed his century in 151 balls. He hit 13 fours and a six in his innings. Dhruv Jurel also scored a half-century. He completed 50 runs in 69 balls. Captain Abhimanyu Easwaran was sent to bat at number three, but he was dismissed after scoring 11 runs.

However, Yashasvi, who came to open with KL Rahul in this match, could not perform. Jaiswal was given out LBW off Chris Woakes. It was a controversial decision and Jaiswal did not agree with the umpire's decision. He also argued with the umpire. However, there was no DRS in this match so he had to return. Jaiswal scored 17 runs.

There was a search for a new opener

After Rohit Sharma retired from Tests, the question was who would open with Jaiswal in England. Rahul has answered this question by scoring a century. Rahul is an experienced player and has opened against England before as well. He has strengthened his claim to open by scoring a century.
