LPG ship Jag Vasant reaches Vadinar with 16,000 tonnes amid crisis

New Delhi: Amidst the crisis in West Asia, a significant piece of relief news has emerged for India. A ship named 'Jag Vasant,' laden with LPG, has arrived at the Vadinar port in Gujarat. This vessel is carrying approximately 16,000 metric tons of LPG. This consignment is considered crucial for the country's domestic gas supply. At a time when a precarious situation persists in the Strait of Hormuz region, the safe arrival of this ship in India is viewed as a source of great relief.

The ship is currently anchored at a distance of approximately 10 nautical miles from the Vadinar port. Security and operational measures within the port area have been further intensified. The LPG from the 'Jag Vasant' will be transferred to a smaller tugboat named 'Rose.' The movement of such vessels is expected to continue in the coming days. The arrival of this ship is likely to improve the gas supply situation.
