LSG Coach Laments After Humiliating Loss—Can They Bounce Back Against SRH?

Visakhapatnam: Lucknow Super Giants (LSG) assistant coach Lance Klusener has spilled his pain after the team could not defend 209 runs against Delhi Capitals. He said that they have no choice but to make do with alternative players before the return of the injured players. The Lucknow team suffered a major setback even before the new season of IPL, as at least four of its fast bowlers Avesh Khan, Mayank Yadav, Mohsin Khan and Akashdeep got injured.

Lucknow bowlers could not defend the score of 209 runs despite a good start in their first match of the season against Delhi Capitals. Dew also played its role in this match. Klusener said after the match, 'We do not have many options in bowling right now. Until our players recover from injury and return, we will have to make do with our alternate players.'

He said, 'But this is the nature of this game. In the next match against Sunrisers Hyderabad in Hyderabad, our batsmen will have to play an important role like this match.' Klusener said, 'We are ready for this but as I said, some young players are getting a chance. Shardul Thakur took two wickets in the first over itself, which really made me very happy.'

It is worth mentioning that the Sunrisers Hyderabad batsmen created a ruckus against the Rajasthan Royals bowlers. Ishan Kishan scored a century in a stormy manner. If Hyderabad batsmen perform similarly against Lucknow, then it will be very difficult for Rishabh Pant's team.
