    Lucknow Encounter: Attempted Murder & Rape Accused Shot Dead by UP Police!

    Lucknow: Police has killed Ajay Dwivedi, accused of attempting rape and murder of a woman in Malihabad, Lucknow, the capital of Uttar Pradesh, in an encounter. According to the information, after the arrest of the accused's brother Dinesh, Lucknow Police had announced a reward of Rs 1 lakh on Ajay. Accused Ajay Dwivedi had about 23 criminal cases registered against him. Ajay had an encounter with Lucknow Police late at night. He opened fire on the police when he was surrounded. During this, Ajay was injured by a police bullet and died while being taken to the hospital.


    Accused Dinesh and Ajay are accused of strangulating the woman to death. The woman was coming to her brother's house in Lucknow after giving an interview in Varanasi, but she did not reach home. The auto driver took her to another route from the bus station and tried to rape her. When the woman resisted, he killed her. This incident created a stir in the entire state including Lucknow. The police tried to capture the accused Ajay by surrounding him near Deva Restaurant in Malihabad, but he was killed during cross firing.


    Long criminal record of both the brothers


    According to the police, the main accused was identified as Ajay Kumar Dwivedi, a history-sheeter from Dubagga. Ajay and Dinesh are both brothers. Both already have a criminal record. Ajay has 23 cases registered against him and Dinesh has 9 cases registered against him. According to the information, Ajay Dwivedi had already gone to jail on charges of rape. The police arrested his brother Dinesh from Sanyasi Bagh in Malihabad town today.


    When and what happened


    On Wednesday morning, the body of the woman was found lying in a mango orchard in Malihabad area of ​​Lucknow. 7 policemen were suspended in this case. While investigating the case, the police arrested the accused's brother Dinesh on Friday, while accused Ajay absconded. The police was searching for Ajay. Meanwhile, on Friday night, an encounter took place between the police and Ajay near Devm Lawn in Malihabad area.


    Ajay died in police retaliation. A reward of Rs 1 lakh was announced on accused Ajay. Accused Ajay took the woman to Malihabad in an auto. Accused Dinesh said that he tried to force himself on the woman, but when the woman resisted, he strangled her to death.
