Mahila Samridhi Yojana: Registration Starts Today in Delhi! Women to Get ₹2500 Monthly

On International Women's Day, women of Delhi are going to get a big gift today. Delhi's BJP government can announce 'Mahila Samridhi Yojana' today. Under this scheme, economically weaker women will get ₹2,500 every month. This announcement will be made at a program at Jawaharlal Nehru Stadium on Saturday. BJP President JP Nadda will also attend this program. This information has been given by sources.

Mahila Samridhi Yojana – A Major BJP Promise

Official sources said that 'Mahila Samridhi Yojana' was an election promise of BJP. A cabinet note for this scheme can be presented in the Delhi Cabinet meeting on Saturday. Chief Minister Rekha Gupta will chair this meeting. He said that the guidelines and eligibility criteria of the scheme are likely to be discussed before the Cabinet approves it.

Chief Minister Gupta is scheduled to attend the Women's Day event organised by the Delhi unit of the BJP at the JLN Stadium on Saturday afternoon.

    These Leaders Will Be Present

The party said in a message that several senior BJP leaders will attend the event, including:

    • Delhi unit co-in-charge Alka Gurjar
    • State president Virendra Sachdeva
    • Mahila Morcha national president Vanathi Srinivasan
    • BJP MPs Kamaljeet Sehrawat and Bansuri Swaraj

Sources said, "The announcement of starting registration for the Mahila Sahayata Yojana will be made at the event to be held at the JLN Stadium."

    What Are the Conditions?

The BJP, in its manifesto for the assembly elections held in February, had promised to give ₹2,500 per month to women from poor families under the 'Mahila Samridhi Yojana' if it came to power in Delhi.

Sources said some of the eligibility criteria could potentially include:

✔️ Women should be in the age group of 21-60 years

✔️ Annual income should not exceed ₹2.5 lakh

    Registration to Begin Today

BJP MP Manoj Tiwari had said last week that registration for the scheme will begin from March 8, and a list of eligible beneficiaries will be prepared. Following this, the entire process of giving ₹2,500 to every economically poor woman will be completed in one and a half months.

The Opposition Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) in Delhi has criticised the BJP government for not approving the scheme in the first meeting of the Delhi Cabinet despite Prime Minister Narendra Modi's 'promise' in this regard.
