MI vs GT Highlights: Gujarat Titans beat Mumbai Indians to top IPL 2025 table

Mumbai: There was an exciting match between Mumbai Indians and Gujarat Titans in IPL 2025. In this, Gujarat won by 3 wickets by DLS rule. It rained twice during Gujarat's innings. When it first came after the 14th over, Gujarat's score was 107 runs for 2 wickets. According to Duckworth Lewis rule, the team was ahead. After this, the match was stopped due to rain as soon as the 18th over was over. This time the team was behind by 5 runs. After this the match started again. Gujarat got the target of scoring 15 runs in one over. Gujarat won the match on the last ball.

Will Jacks played a half-century innings on the strength of two lives. Apart from scoring 53 runs in a 35-ball innings with five fours and three sixes, he laid the foundation for a big score by sharing a 71-run partnership in 43 balls with Suryakumar Yadav for the third wicket, but after the partnership was broken due to the brilliant captaincy of Shubman Gill and the amazing performance of the bowlers, the Mumbai team kept losing wickets at regular intervals, which slowed down the run rate.

Suryakumar Yadav played an innings of 35 runs in 24 balls, making him the highest run-scorer in the current season. Corbin Bosch (27 runs in 22 balls) hit two sixes against Prasidh Krishna in the last over to take the team to 150 runs. For Gujarat, Sai Kishore took two wickets while Mohammad Siraj, Arshad Khan, Rashid Khan, Prasidh Krishna and Gerald Coetzee took one wicket each. Rashid gave signs of returning to form by conceding just 21 runs in four overs.

After winning the toss and deciding to bowl, Siraj gave Titans a great start by dismissing Ryan Rickelton (two) in the first over itself. Arshad Khan, who came to bowl in the fourth over, gave Gujarat a big success by ending Rohit Sharma's seven-run innings, who was in great form. Suryakumar Yadav welcomed Prasidh Krishna with two consecutive fours but Sai Kishore dropped his easy catch in the same over.

After the powerplay, Mumbai's score was 56 runs for two wickets. After the powerplay, Sai Kishore and Rashid Khan were bowling well but Jacques and Suryakumar managed to maintain the run rate. Jacques completed his first half-century of the current season in 29 balls with a six against Sai Kishore in the seventh over and then in the 11th over. In the same over, Suryakumar Yadav, while trying to hit a big shot, played the ball into the hands of Shahrukh Khan in the extra cover area.

Mumbai completed a century of runs in the 12th over but Rashid showed Jacques the way to the pavilion in the same over. Kishore trapped Hardik Pandya (one) in his spin in the next over. Gill handed the ball to Gerald Coetzee for the first time in the 14th over and he dismissed Tilak Verma (seven). Prasidh completely tightened the screws by sending Naman Dheer (seven) to the pavilion. Corbin Bosch, after playing cautiously, hit sixes on consecutive balls of Krishna before getting run out in the last over.
